QUALITY before all
Lamar parquet floors do not have division into classes in terms of quality of parquet, as do some parquets. So called classes at Lamar three-layer parquet refer exclusively to the visual characteristics of the upper layer of wood from which parquet slat is created. Technical performance of the parquet slats, and parquet board as a whole is equally well, regardless of the class they are sorted in according to their visual characteristics. Choosing a class of parquet flooring in certain type of wood, the buyer decides whether the parquet surface will look evenly in color and wood structure, or natural characteristics of wood, such as tree rings, knots and color variations will come to the fore, making the parquet surface looks more „lively” and „more natural ”.
Classes as visual characteristics of wood
Each board of the three-layer Lamar parquet is different in structure of wood, which makes our parquet unique product of nature. That is why Lamar parquet can be selected in several classes in every type of wood. These classes differ by natural characteristics of the wood.
NATUR
Free, natural arrangement of tree rings, without cracks or damage.Only ungrouped healthy nodes of up to 5 mm („bird’s eye”) are allowed. Maximum three knots per parquet board are permitted. Small differences in color and structure are also allowed. Sapwood and color changes are not permitted.
RUSTIC
Free, natural formation of tree rings, without cracks or damage. Only healthy and processed (captive) nodes are possible. The number and size of knots is not limited, neither is their arrangement. Cracked knots can be filled. Extreme changes in color and structure are allowed, as well as due sapwood.
HARD RUSTIC
There are noticeable differences in color and structure. The size of knots is unlimited, unless they affect the stability of the slap. Cracked knots and cracks can be processed and filled. Healthy sapwoods are allowed. This structure is typical for oak and gives lively and rustic visual appearance.
